My name is Nina Eimer and I am the volunteer in Moringen memorial from September 2016 – August 2017. As a volunteer, I am supporting the employees in their daily tasks. Additionally, I am doing the so called “independent project” which means basically that I am planning, organizing and accomplishing a whole project totally on my own.
When I started dealing with the national socialist tyranny and the whole complex of remembrance intensely, I recognized that remembrance often works quite faceless and impersonal. I wanted to find a way to show that indeed there are a lot of people who are remembering. They stand up for not forgetting nazi crime – an issue that is more important than ever, especially regarding the current political and social problems we are facing.
